Aqua only collects the minimum information required to operate the bot and this website safely and reliably.

• Discord account data: user ID, username, avatar, and discriminator provided by Discord during OAuth.
• Guild data: server IDs, names, and basic settings needed to configure Aqua.
• Usage data: command usage, feature toggles, and technical diagnostics (such as error logs and performance metrics).
• Website data: basic analytics such as page views and referral information, stored in aggregate form.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly to:

• Authenticate you securely on the dashboard and now-playing pages.
• Operate and improve Aqua's music features and filters.
• Prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
• Provide basic statistics, such as server count and usage insights.

3. Data Storage & Security

User and guild data is stored in secure databases and is only accessible to the Aqua application and its maintainers when necessary for maintenance or support.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Access to production systems is restricted and protected using industry-standard security practices.

4. Third-Party Services

Aqua relies primarily on the Discord API and may integrate with streaming or metadata providers for music-related features.

• Discord: Authentication and guild information are provided through Discord's OAuth2 system and APIs.
• Music sources: When you play a track, Aqua may contact external platforms (such as YouTube or Spotify) to stream or process audio.

Your use of Discord and any music platforms is also governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.

5. Data Retention

We retain user and guild information only for as long as it is needed to operate Aqua. If Aqua is removed from a server, related configuration data may be cleaned up during periodic maintenance and routine housekeeping.

Debug logs and technical diagnostics are typically stored for a shorter period to help us investigate incidents and performance issues before being rotated or deleted.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

Aqua may use browser storage mechanisms such as cookies or localStorage to keep you logged in and remember basic preferences (for example, effect mode or UI layout choices).

• Authentication tokens used for the dashboard / website login.
• Basic interface preferences (such as effects mode or theme).
• Non-identifying settings that make the site more convenient for you.

7. Analytics & Logging

We may collect anonymous or aggregated analytics to understand how Aqua is being used (for example, how many servers are active, which features are popular, or when errors occur).

These analytics are used only to improve reliability, performance, and feature design. They are not used to build marketing profiles or serve targeted advertising.

8. International Data Transfers

Depending on your location and the hosting infrastructure we use, your information may be processed in a country different from where you live. We aim to work with reputable infrastructure providers and take reasonable measures so that your data remains protected wherever it is handled.

9. Children's Privacy

Aqua is designed for servers that comply with Discord's age requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the minimum age allowed by Discord. If you believe that we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

10. Your Choices & Rights

• You can revoke Aqua's access by removing the bot from your server at any time.
• You can revoke website access tokens by logging out from the dashboard.
• You may contact us to request clarification or removal of stored data where technically and legally possible.
